Z COUNTERFORM CONCRETE COUNTERTOP SYSTEM
What is Z Counterform? It is a patented concrete countertop form that allows you to pour your concrete countertops in place. YES!! With Z Counterform Concrete Countertop Solutions, you literally pour your countertops in place and with a professional result! The Z Counterform is the black piece that surrounds the wall and wood board.
WHITE CONCRETE COUNTERTOPS
Yes, you can have white concrete countertops. Z Counterform has a special white countertop blend for a clean white look. The blend is smooth and specially formulated for countertops.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Z Counterform has multiple videos that you can watch to assure you that you can do your own concrete countertops!
Begin by attaching the Z Counterform is the black piece that is attatched to your wood board.
Next, begin laying down the black fiber mesh reinforcement to your board. Cut to size.
Attach the white Z-clips with screws to your board.
Mix the concrete per package directions. We made ours the consistancy of cake batter.
Get ready to pour! Pour your concrete into the forms and begin using your towel to even out the concrete.
Use a finishing trowel to smooth out your concrete evenly! Make sure your concrete is level and tap the form to release any bubbles. Towel it a couple different times until it has been smoothed out to your liking.
We wanted five days until we removed our forms and sanded our countertops.
We wiped down all the sanding grit from the countertops with a damp cloth.
Then applied the two part sealer from Z Counterform.
We allowed the coat to dry for 12 hours then lightly sanded, wiped with a damp cloth and added another coat of sealer. We repeated this process one more time.
IS THIS DIY CONCRETE COUNTERTOP SYSTEM AS EASY AS IT LOOKS?
This is the number one question I have been asked by you! The answer is yes! Educate yourself on the system and watch the how-to videos by Concrete Countertop Solutions. We watched them a couple times each ! We really do believe that anyone can do this!
ARE THE COUNTERTOPS BUDGET FRIENDLY?
Yes! Our countertops were $1100 for 70 square feet but we had plenty of product left over so we actually ordered to much! From my research online, concrete countertops ranged from $65-$135 per square foot.
HOW ARE THE COUNTERTOPS HOLDING UP?
They are holding up so well! I sealed with three coats of sealer and I am so pleased with the results! They hold up great for our large family and we are always in our kitchen!
CAN YOU PATCH AN AREA AFTER YOU POUR?
YES! We have product left over to patch if needed. In fact, my husband scuffed up the seal when he was installing the stove top, so I needed to sand and re-stain an area by the drop in stove.
WOULD YOU POUR YOUR OWN CONCRETE COUNTERTOPS AGAIN?
Absolutely! I may even put these countertops in our bathroom! I would 100% recommend Concrete Countertops System and would defintely recommend for concrete countertops, To me, there is never another way to pour concrete countertops unless I use this system!
