How to Style a Small Outdoor Seating Area

Do you want to create that perfect oasis in your back yard, patio or deck? No matter how small, your yard or balcony can be turned into a relaxing backyard oasis for you and your family to enjoy! There are numerous decor elements that you can add to make an enjoyable space on these upcoming hot summer days!
4DC3BA33-E3EB-4BD9-BE58-EA89EE37969FI love “shopping my home” for items that I already have on hand, especially during the Covid-19 quarantine; like these planters that I we had stored under our deck. I have had these for 15 years, so I decided to add a coat of black spray paint, that I also had on hand, to spruce them up! Like new again! We recently visited our favorite nursery so I added a fern to each planter. I added the chairs for comfort and two pillows, which were a diy. You can find that blog here . You could even add a hammock!

My friends over at Abba Patio were so kind to send our family their 9 ft Market Umbrella with Auto Tilt and Crank. They also sent us their Plastic, Free-Standing Round Umbrella Base in Brown.

A997F504-CA3C-4589-A131-9FF6DEB4B952The Market Umbrella is amazing with its auto tilt and crank! We chose the color beige. The 9 ft umbrella is enough space for two lounge chairs or a 4-6 person round table. It is also has a rust free coating! The base is recycled plastic and a steel pole! It can also be filled with water to create a more stable base plus its weather resistant! These pieces will last in your backyard for years to come! Budget friendly pieces and the quality is wonderful!

  1. Funny Shae,

I always want our deck to look cozy. I add lanterns and pots I have painted to make more French.

Reality, we have a neighbors tree hanging over our deck. When we were building we beg to let us cut the tree down at our cost. Answer, no.

Now it’s out of control and has ruined numerous cushions from sap and stuff falling. Now, it’s lock down in NJ.

We’re calling our tree man and having him cut the tree in half to get it away from our house.

Will look ugly especially for the neighbor but themselves the breaks at this point.

    Cindy
